Fifth District Supervisor Tom Wilson called for the passage of Measure F on Thursday in a speech hosted by the San Juan Capistrano Chamber of Commerce at Sarducci’s restaurant.
Measure F, to appear on the March 7 ballot, would require a two-thirds public vote of “noxious use” projects within a half-mile of residential communities. Opponents of the proposed reuse of El Marine Corps Air Station as a commercial airport initiated the proposition in hopes of killing the airport.
