Fullerton police officers patrolling the western section of the city will have an off-site office at Fullerton Municipal Airport next week.
Patrol officers monitoring crime in the mostly commercial area bordering Buena Park and La Habra will use the pilot’s lounge at the airport to call in reports and take a break. The airport, which fell victim to numerous thefts last year, will get a visible police presence.
The pilots lounge, which the patrol officers will share with airport customers, is equipped with four computers with Internet access, a dedicated phone line for the police officers, and the basic amenities of a public facility. The officers will also be able to park their cars inside a secured fence.
