* AT&T; Corp.’s consumer-services division president, H. Eugene Lockhart, will leave the top U.S. long-distance company for a start-up outside telecommunications, a person familiar with Lockhart’s plans said. An announcement could come as soon as today, the person said. Further information wasn’t immediately available. Lockhart couldn’t be reached to comment and AT&T; declined to comment. Lockhart, who was head of BankAmerica’s global retail banking division, was hired by AT&T; in January 1999 after a search by the telecom giant to find an outside marketing executive who could help reshape AT&T;’s image.
