Just as hotel-air packages to Europe are lower in spring than summer, so are fares on the Eurostar train through the Channel Tunnel. Starting Tuesday, you can book one-way standard-class fares between London and either Paris or Brussels for $89, compared to the $159 full fare (fully exchangeable and refundable) and $119 “leisure fare” (the term Rail Europe uses for a fare that is nonexchangeable and only 50% refundable). The first-class fare is $149 versus $239 full and $199 “leisure.” The discounts are good for travel through April 15; the tickets are nonexchangeable and nonrefundable.
