Snoop Dogg may have jumped to New Orleans-based No Limit Records, but the Long Beach native remains a favorite son on his home turf. The rapper’s new album with Tha Outsidaz debuted at No. 1 on the Southern California sales chart, while registering at No. 8 nationally. Another local rapper is also enjoying home cooking: The Ice Cube-led “Next Friday” soundtrack is No. 8 in the Southland and No. 25 nationally.
