In other earnings reports, Network Solutions Inc. said fourth-quarter profit more than doubled to $9 million, or 25 cents a share, from $3.7 million, or 11 cents, a year ago, beating analyst expectations by 2 cents. Revenue soared 143% to $75.9 million. The Herndon, Va.-based company said it registered 1.6 million new domain names in the quarter, up 161% from a year ago. StarBase Corp. said its fiscal third-quarter loss narrowed to $974,000, or 3 cents a share, from $2.1 million, or 10 cents. The net loss included expenses of about $465,000 related to stock option compensation. Santa Ana-based StarBase didn’t provide figures for the loss from operations excluding charges. Revenue more than doubled to $4.1 million.
