The Ventura County Transportation Commission has appointed a new member to sit on the board that oversees local roads, buses, trains and airports.
Oxnard Councilman Tom Holden replaces Simi Valley Mayor Bill Davis, who served for eight years on the board.
Also, Moorpark Councilman John Wozniak was reappointed to a four-year term, after serving the final year of former Ventura Mayor Jack Tingstrom’s term.
The Transportation Commission also plans to replace Supervisor Susan Lacey, who is retiring.
The commission is made up of two members from the Ventura County Board of Supervisors, three council members representing the county’s 10 cities, and two members from the public--one appointed by the board and one by the cities. A nonvoting member from Caltrans, appointed by the governor, also attends board meetings.
