Not-So-Super Model

When Palm Inc. and supermodel Claudia Schiffer announced last summer that they would collaborate on the design of a special-edition personal digital assistant, our adolescent imaginations went a little nutso.
But now we’ve seen the device and calmed down--significantly.
At $399, Schiffer’s Palm Vx offers the same features as all the other Palm Vxs out there: 8 megabytes of memory, Palm OS version 3.5, anodized aluminum case. The only significant difference is that Schiffer’s Palm Vx is--drumroll, please--powder blue, as opposed to the silver, champagne or millennium blue for the regular Palm Vx. It also features a CD-ROM supposedly stocked with Schiffer’s favorite spots to eat and shop in New York and London.
