Asensio Leads Rosary to Tournament Title

Jenny Asensio scored 21 points, including four three-pointers to help third-ranked Rosary to a 62-48 victory over El Dorado in the championship game of the Gary Raya Coed tournament Saturday at El Dorado.
Jenise Karcher had 18 points and Jen Farner 13 for the Royals, who led, 38-17, at halftime and 52-27 after three quarters.
Melissa Jacob led El Dorado with 16 points, including three three-pointers, and Carly Wade scored 13 points.
In other tournament games:
Villa Park 55, Orange Lutheran 46--Lauren Yadon had 16 points, eight rebounds and four blocks, leading Villa Park (4-6) to a third-place finish.
Ashley Amaral scored 16 points and Leanna Holtzclaw had 13 for Orange Lutheran (6-3).
In the Cerritos Valley Christian tournament:
Sunny Hills 61, Cabrillo 43--Christine Granillo had 15 points, Lindsey Shaw had 11 points and eight rebounds for Sunny Hills (4-5) in the consolation game.
In the Mission Viejo Jim Hill Memorial tournament:
Sonora 60, Calvary Chapel 54--Brandi Davis had 30 points, five rebounds and five assists to lead Sonora (8-2) to the title.
Rancho Alamitos 57, Sonora (JV) 29--Pauline Graf made all of her 13 free-throw attempts and scored 17 points for Rancho Alamitos (2-8) in the consolation game. Juliann Hughes scored 22 points for the Vaqueros.
In the Moreno Valley tournament:
Westminster 79, Temecula Valley 50--Ashley Hebert had 28 points to lead Westminster (7-2) to the championship.
