Real Estate Data Firm Expands U.S. Coverage

First American Real Estate Solutions, a supplier of data and other products to the real estate and mortgage finance industries, said Monday that it has acquired property ownership files in nearly 600 counties in 35 states.
Terms were not disclosed.
The Anaheim company said in a press release that the expansion raises its coverage to more than 1,300 U.S. counties, representing more than 81% of the U.S. population.
The company, which is majority owned and managed by First American Corp. in Santa Ana, provides information on property ownership, sales and financing in 48 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The expansion increases its coverage in key Southern and Midwestern states, including Georgia, West Virginia and Iowa.
