2nd-Quarter Net at Huntway Refining Nearly Triples

Huntway Refining Co. of Newhall reported net income of $1.97 million for the second quarter ended June 30, up from $666,000 for the second quarter last year. Revenue more than doubled to $46.2 million from $22.7 million.
The company owns and operates refineries in Benicia and Wilmington that produce primarily liquid asphalt.
