The City Council has awarded a contract of $269,095 to Lake Forest Electric of Trabuco Canyon to add security lighting to several city parks.
The city received bids from 12 contractors, ranging from $269,095 to $544,840.
Security lighting will provide a low level of illumination to help law enforcement officers patrol the parks after dusk. Construction is expected to begin in September in Cavanaugh-Gowdy, Cherry, Darrin, Rimgate, Village Pond and Vintage parks.
