THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG
The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Wednesday:
BREA
* East Chevy Chase Drive: A car was reported stolen in the 1600 block at 4:49 a.m. Tuesday.
* North Berry Street: A 31-year-old man was arrested for robbery in the 200 block at 12:47 p.m. Tuesday.
FOUNTAIN VALLEY
* Echo River Court: A girl’s bicycle was stolen from a garage in the 1400 block at 12:40 p.m. Saturday.
* La Hacienda Avenue: A Toyota emblem was stolen off a car in the 10200 block at 3:43 p.m. Saturday.
* Talbert Avenue: A baby stroller was reported stolen while the owner was test-driving an RV in the 10400 block at 4:49 p.m. Saturday.
FULLERTON
* East Commonwealth Avenue: A petty theft was reported in the 400 block at 3:39 p.m. Tuesday.
* Deerpark Drive: A car was reported stolen in the 1200 block at 8:23 p.m. Tuesday.
GARDEN GROVE
* Western and Orangewood avenues: Police arrested seven drivers at a driver’s license and sobriety checkpoint on Wednesday. Police arrested two on suspicion of drunk driving, one for parole violations and four for outstanding warrants. Police impounded 25 vehicles and issued 75 citations for various traffic violations.
HUNTINGTON BEACH
* Main Street: An assault was reported in the 200 block at 1:04 p.m. Sunday.
* Suburbia Lane: A television and furniture were reported stolen from a home in the 20500 block at 3:02 p.m. Sunday.
LAGUNA BEACH
* Coast View Drive: A wallet containing about $200 and credit cards was reported missing in the 700 block at 10:14 a.m. Monday.
* Mermaid Street: A Volkswagen Fox parked on private property was towed away near 2nd Street at 9:22 a.m. Monday.
LAGUNA HILLS
* Alicia Parkway: The glass front door of a restaurant was shattered in the 24000 block at 8:55 a.m. Monday. The owner reported no loss.
* South Pointe Drive: A laptop was reported stolen from a business complex in the 23000 block at 10:30 a.m. Monday.
LA HABRA
* South Beach Boulevard: A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 1200 block at 11:47 p.m. Tuesday.
* North Citrus Drive: A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 800 block at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday.
LOS ALAMITOS
* Portal Drive: A petty theft was reported in the 10900 block at 5:18 p.m. on Saturday.
ORANGE
* Meads Avenue: A burglar alarm was triggered in the 10000 block at 7:37 a.m. Wednesday.
PLACENTIA
* West Santa Fe Avenue: Loud ball players on a patio were reported by neighbors in the 200 block at 5:56 p.m. Tuesday.
* West Santa Fe Avenue: A dispute between neighbors over cooking on a patio was reported in the 200 block at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday.
SAN CLEMENTE
* Avenida Palizada: A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 100 block at 4:30 a.m. Monday.
* Calle del Cerro: A man in the 1000 block reported at 9 p.m. Sunday that his car was stolen after he gave it to a woman to drive to Wyoming and sell to his friend. The woman has not shown up in Wyoming.
* Camino de los Mares: Two drivers were reportedly fighting over a near collision in the 600 block at 8:35 p.m. Monday. Deputies resolved the dispute.
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
* Avenida Terramar: A man reported a threatening note was left in his mailbox, possibly by a neighbor’s child, for his 9-year-old daughter in the 31000 block at 7:35 p.m. Sunday.
* El Camino Real: A truck and a car were in an accident that caused minor injuries and major damage to the car near Ortega Highway at 6:15 p.m. Sunday.
SANTA ANA
* Mesa Drive: A burglary was reported in the 1600 block at 7:03 a.m. on Monday.
* Harbor Boulevard: A burglary was reported in the 16300 block at 12:20 p.m. on Monday.
VILLA PARK
* Villa Park Road: A traffic accident was reported in the 18000 block at 3:36 p.m. Tuesday.
YORBA LINDA
* Fairmont Boulevard: A car was reported stolen in the 5400 block at 10:54 a.m. Tuesday.
* Landmark Avenue: Obscene phone calls were reported in the 16700 block at 12:43 a.m. Tuesday.
Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports Wednesday: Anaheim, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Irvine, La Palma, Newport Beach, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Tustin and Westminster.
