In Olympic League softball:
Calvary Chapel 5, Orange Lutheran 4 (17)--Jackie Beadle’s double scored Amerra Kefterson with the winning run for Calvary Chapel (9-8, 5-0).
In nonleague girls’ swimming:
No. 4 Santa Margarita wins tri-meet--Santa Margarita sophomore Shannon Packard was the only swimmer to record two victories in the meet at Mission Viejo. Packard won the 200 individual medley (2:12.56) and the 100 backstroke (59.92). The Eagles beat No. 5 Mission Viejo, 88-82, and No. 8 Foothill, 108-62.
In Empire League boys’ track:
Cypress 101, El Dorado 35--Cypress’ Mike Provder won the high jump in 6-5, the third-best mark in the county this season.
In the Pacific Coast League:
Corona del Mar 68, University 67--Sean Fenton won the shotput with a county-best 57-9 for Corona del Mar (3-0 in league) and also won the discus (156-5).
In the Sunset League:
Esperanza 94, Marina 37--Esperanza’s Travis Jones won the shotput with a mark of 55-3 1/2, the second best in the county this season.
In Orange League girls’ track:
Western 81, Magnolia 39--Magnolia’s Vao Faoa won the discus with a throw of 137-10, the second-best mark in the county this season and a personal best by nearly 17 feet.
In the Pacific Coast League:
Corona del Mar 80 1/2, University 55 1/2--Liz Morse won the 200 in 25.7 and the 800 in 2:20 for visiting Corona del Mar (3-0 in league).
University’s Lindsay Paulick cleared 5-6 1/2 in the high jump, the second-best mark in the county this season.
