SAN CLEMENTE
A nominating committee is seeking candidates for the first five members of the Casa Romantica Board of Trustees. Casa Romantica, former home of the city’s founder, Ole Hanson, will be converted into a cultural and education center.
The committee is seeking candidates who are business executives, have an interest in historic preservation, have experience in major construction and are willing to commit a minimum of $25,000 to the project over four years.
The nominating committee members are Judy Swayne, director of the Orange County Community Foundation; Ruth Denault, board member, the Museum of Architecture; Evelynn Winkel, Santiago Canyon College professor; G. Wayne Eggleston, City Council member and executive director of the Newport Museum; and Don Rickner, executive director of the Irvine Valley College Foundation.
