Teens have until May 1 to turn in their official tracking forms for the Mayor’s Youth Awards program. Students list their voluntary community service hours on the form and have them verified by supervisors to receive special graduation honors and a certificate of community service to send in with college application forms. An added bonus is what Brea Mayor Bev Perry calls “a really neat medal†seniors get to wear at their graduation ceremony.
