In the Century League:

Canyon 3, Villa Park 0--John Parfitt had 27 kills for host Canyon (5-10, 2-2), which won, 15-13, 15-7, 15-9.

In Sea View League boys’ golf:

No. 5 Woodbridge 187, Laguna Hills 191--Junior John Clark shot an even-par 35 at Aliso Viejo.

In the South Coast League:

El Toro 185, Trabuco Hills 203--El Toro sophomore Steve Taylor shot a two-under 34 at El Toro.

In nonleague golf:

No. 9 University 368, No. 6 Irvine 377--University’s Ryan Miller and Jon Fridman of Irvine each shot a two-day total of three-under 69 at Rancho San Jaoquin and Oak Creek. The Trojans (7-2) got a 72 by Brian Sinay and a 74 by Hunter Keniham.

In Sunset League girls’ swimming:

Esperanza 128, Edison 58--Sophomore Erin Sieper recorded the county’s fastest time in the 100 breaststroke, 1:04.90. She also won the 200 individual medley (2:09.49) and competed on two winning relays.

In Century League boys’ tennis:

No. 9 Canyon 16, Villa Park 2--Andy Tran swept at No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-1, 6-1, for Canyon (12-2, 4-0).

In the Pacific Coast League:

No. 2 Corona del Mar 16, Northwood 2--Josh Stuart and Robert Kennedy swept in singles, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, for host Corona del Mar (14-3, 5-1).

In the Sea View League:

No. 5 Woodbridge 17, Laguna Hills 1--Bijan Noroosi and Paul Strozier swept in doubles, 6-0, 6-0, 6-1, for Woodbridge (11-6, 5-0).
