The City Council has resolved to send the state Transportation Department a letter expressing its dissatisfaction with the landscaping on Ortega Highway east of Interstate 5.
The council is unhappy because the work was completed six months late, the landscaping caused erosion and it didn’t include the plants the council expected.
“The erosion is absolutely terrible, the lack of plants is ridiculous whether they ran out or not, the vines we asked for fall 20 or 30 feet short, the watering is not taking place, but other than that it’s pretty good,” Mayor Collene Campbell said at Tuesday’s council meeting.
