Circuit City Group said earnings jumped 34% in its fiscal fourth quarter amid higher demand for technology products and office equipment and improvement in its CarMax auto stores business. The company said net income rose to $160.1 million, or 78 cents a share, from $119.1 million, or 59 cents, a year earlier. The results were a penny below analysts’ estimates. Circuit City sales rose 15% to $3.48 billion, and sales at stores open at least a year grew 10%.
