Anaheim Man Steps in Front of Car, Is Killed

A 36-year-old Anaheim man was killed late Sunday after stepping into the path of a car, police said Monday.
The incident on Beach Boulevard north of Lincoln Avenue in Anaheim happened when the man stepped off the center divider and was struck by a 1981 Toyota, said Sgt. Joe Vargas of the Anaheim Police Department. The driver, who apparently did not see the man, was not cited, Vargas said.
An investigation of the accident is continuing, and authorities ask that any witnesses to the accident contact the Anaheim Police Department at (714) 765-1861.
