Supporters of the Yorba Linda Civic Light Opera are rallying to raise money for the theater group, which was forced to cancel its 1999 season because it lacked funds.
The group’s board of directors, with the help of community volunteers, will hold a dinner and auction Sept. 25. Local restaurants have donated the meals that will be sold at a silent auction.
The fund-raiser is being held to alert residents that the group needs help, said Mimi Coldren, a longtime supporter of the 15-year-old community theater company. Tickets to the dinner cost $30 per person or $50 per couple.
