Cerritos Valley Christian 26, La Habra 14--La Habra’s Josh Herrera rushed for 116 yards in 16 carries but it wasn’t enough for La Habra.
Herrera scored the only offensive touchdown for La Habra on a 46-yard run with 8 minutes 21 seconds left in the game to make the score 19-14.
After a trade of punts, Valley Christian took over at La Habra’s 20-yard line with 3:28 left to play. On the third play of the drive, Terrence Washington went around the left side for 24 yards and the final score.
The Crusaders opened the game by engineering a 15-play, 82-yard drive that consumed 7:46. It was capped by Washington’s three-yard touchdown run.
