Canoga Park 21, Birmingham 15--Mike Spangle’s 25-yard touchdown pass to Tony Olivera with 20 seconds to play lifted the host Hunters.
Spangle completed 16 of 31 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns. He engineered a 12-play, 86-yard drive for the winning score.
Birmingham was led by sophomore Kevin McCleary, who rushed for 105 yards and one touchdown in 17 carries.
