How Will They Rate?
November sweeps in with a new version of the hit Broadway musical “Annie,†another magical NBC miniseries and the reuniting of screen pairs Glenn Close and Christopher Walken and Julie Andrews and James Garner.
Here’s a look at what’s in store for the sweeps period, which starts this Thursday and continues through Dec. 1.
Movies and Miniseries
“Annieâ€: “The Wonderful World of Disney†presents an adaptation of the classic Broadway musical about Little Orphan Annie and Daddy Warbucks. ABC, Nov. 7.
“The Magical Legend of the Leprechaunsâ€: Randy Quaid, Whoopi Goldberg and Roger Daltrey star in this lavish two-part fantasy about the little people. NBC, Nov. 7-8.
“Shake, Rattle & Rollâ€: Four-hour miniseries about the birth of rock ‘n roll features new and classic music from a range of artists. CBS, Nov. 7 and 10.
“Come On Get Happy: The Partridge Family Storyâ€: A dramatization of life behind-the-scenes of the ‘70s TV series. ABC, Nov. 13.
“Aftershock: Earthquake in New York: Charles S. Dutton, Lisa Nicole Carson and Tom Skerritt headline this four-hour thriller. CBS, Nov. 14 and 17.
“Mary, Mother of Jesusâ€: Pernilla August and Christian Bale star in an inspirational drama from executive producers Eunice Kennedy Shriver and her son, Bobby Shriver. NBC, Nov. 14.
“Jerry and Tomâ€: Joe Mantegna and Sam Rockwell star in this comedy about contemporary mobsters. Showtime, Nov. 14.
