A pet store is recalling a brand of Canadian-made dog chews because they may be contaminated with salmonella.

Salmonella-tainted treats are not considered a risk for dogs, but pet owners could become infected.

Pet Valu International Inc. recalled the following Rollover products: garlic-flavored pig ears bearing UPC code 6076688023; cheese-flavored pig ears, UPC 6076688022; five-inch chews, UPC 6076688005; lambie chunks, UPC 6076688102; and dog chew hooves, smoked or plain, sold in bulk. Pet Valu asked consumers to return recalled chews to the store of purchase for a refund or exchange.
