It’s time once again for things that go bump in the night, and the networks are taking full advantage of All Hallow’s Eve to present scary programming guaranteed to send shivers up your spine.
William H. Macy, Luke Perry and Tia Carrere supply the voices for the animated “The Night of the Headless Horseman,†which is based on Washington Irving’s “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,†tonight at 8 on Fox.
“Movie Monsters Revealed,†tonight at 9 on the Learning Channel, features clips of such horror classics as “Dracula†and “The Wolfman.â€
The History Channel’s “The Haunted History of Halloween,†Friday at 5 and 9 p.m., examines the origins of the holiday as a Celtic festival.
CBS reprises the classic animated Peanuts special “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,†Friday at 8 p.m.
“Ghost Waters,†Friday at 9 p.m. and midnight on the Learning Channel, visits a historic theater that is haunted by a playful ghost.
Laurie chronicles the story of a hideous outcast who haunts Concord on Pax TV’s “Little Men,†Friday at 8 p.m.
Sabrina gets more than she bargains for when she works the night shift alone at a coffeehouse on Halloween on “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch,†Friday at 9 p.m. on ABC. Following at 9:30 p.m., “The Hughleys†offers a spoof of “The Blair Witch Project.â€
Taylor Negron hosts TBS’ “Halloween to Die For†movie marathon, Saturday at 7:05 a.m. Movies featured include “Silver Bullet,†“Man’s Best Friend†and “Poltergeist.â€
TNT’s Joe Bob Briggs will be hosting two editions of “Joe Bob’s Hollywood Saturday Night,†Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m. On Saturday, Briggs will show such horror flicks as “Carrie†and “Phantasm.†On Sunday, he’ll screen “In the Mouth of Madness†with Sam Neill.
The Cartoon Network celebrates Halloween with “Scooby & Scrappy-Doo,†an eight-hour marathon, Sunday at noon.
Fox’s “The Simpsons†presents its 10th annual “Treehouse of Horror†fright fest at 8 p.m. Sunday. This time around, Homer causes a Y2K nightmare at the power plant, and the family kills Ned Flanders.
Fox is finally repeating the controversial 1996 episode of “The X-Files†titled “Home,†Sunday at 9 p.m. In this one, Scully and Mulder encounter a very strange, very close family.
Nick at Nite offers its annual “Nick at Nitemares†marathon, Sunday at 9 p.m. It will present Halloween episodes of “The Brady Bunch,†“Happy Days†and “Bewitched.â€

“Food for the Ancestors,†Friday at 9 p.m. on KCET-TV, looks at the Mexican festival of Day of the Dead.
