A memorial service for the late Doris Allen, the former California lawmaker who became the first female speaker of the Assembly, will be held Monday afternoon at the Crystal Cathedral.
Allen, formerly of Westminster, died Sept. 22 of cancer at the age of 63.
The memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. at the church, 12141 Lewis St., Garden Grove. Information: (714) 898-9648.
