Brother and Sister Killed in Car Crash
A brother and sister riding as passengers in a low-slung Mustang were killed early Saturday morning when the driver lost control of the car and hit a parked car, police said.
The coroner identified the victims as Christopher B. Jagoe, 23, and Allison Ann Jagoe, 21. Their places of residence were not available.
The crash occurred about 2:15 a.m. at 6864 Foothill Blvd., said Officer Gary Weller of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division.
The driver, Mark Herwig of La Crescenta, was traveling at a high rate of speed, Weller said.
Herwig was listed in critical condition at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, officials said.
Two men were inside the parked car. One was hospitalized with unknown injuries and the other fled, authorities said.
Officials plan to charge Herwig with vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, Weller said.
