Poly 20, Verdugo Hills 7--Alex Vallejo kicked two field goals and ran for a 30-yard touchdown to help the Parrots (3-3).
Vallejo had field goals of 29 and 30 yards. He finished with 88 yards in 12 carries.
David Valencia had 112 yards in 27 carries for Poly.
Poly end Julius Roberts hit quarterback Michael Tinker on a pass play, popping the ball into the hands of lineman Rosario Ramirez, who scored from 10 yards with 8:45 to play in the first quarter for a 7-0 lead.
Tinker completed five of seven passes for 23 yards.
For Verdugo Hills (2-4), Henry Davis carried 19 times for 98 yards and scored on a one-yard run with 59 seconds remaining in the first half.
Poly had 237 yards, Verdugo Hills had 147.
