In another Foothill League opener:
Canyon 49, Burbank 8--Jimmy Perry rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns in 10 carries for the Cowboys at Canyon.
Canyon (2-4) scored on consecutive drives of 80, 77 and 80 yards, and the Cowboy defense finished with nine sacks.
Colin MacNeil rushed for 117 yards, including touchdowns of three and 30 yards, and Ryan Jones rushed for 69 yards and caught a 50-yard touchdown pass from Julio DeLeon.
Romeo Joudi of Burbank (1-5) completed eight of 18 passes for 113 yards, including a 30-yard touchdown to Raymond Sanchez in the third quarter.
Burbank scored a safety with 44 seconds left in the first half when a bad snap sailed over punter Cameron Robinson and out of the end zone.
