Calabasas 21, Santa Clara 6--Mike Armacost rushed for 79 yards and three touchdowns in 18 carries to lead the Coyotes (2-4) at Calabasas.

Armacost scored on runs of 14, eight and one yard in the first half, and contributed on defense with two interceptions.

Armacost intercepted a Paul Macen pass and returned it 16 yards to the Saints’ 22-yard-line. Armacost caught a 17-yard pass from Justin Fenchel to set up his final touchdown, a one yard plunge.

Santa Clara (2-4) tried to rally from 21-0 deficit in the third quarter, driving 73 yards in nine plays on the opening possession to score on a 24-yard run by Joshua Lopez.

The Coyotes’ offense failed to achieve a first down in its first three possessions of the second half.
