Buena Has Easy Time in Victory

Buena High exploded for 27 points in the second quarter and routed Oxnard, 48-14, in a nonleague game Friday night at Ventura High.
Kyle Loughman completed 10 of 15 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns.
Buena (5-1) led, 48-0, after three quarters.
Loughman opened the scoring with a 38-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Fumunia with 1:47 to play in the first quarter.
Loughman connected with Steven Howard for a 70-yard touchdown in the second quarter and with Cody Murphy for a 10-yard touchdown in the third.
Howard also completed an 18-yard pass from punt formation and was six of six on point-after attempts.
Running back D.J. Blackledge of Buena rushed for 173 yards in 17 carries, scoring on runs of 27 and one yards in the second quarter.
Freddie Keiaho had a six-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
Jason Parker scored on touchdown runs of seven and four yards in the fourth quarter for Oxnard (1-5).
Buena, ranked No. 8 in The Times’ regional poll, outgained Oxnard, 471 yards to 144.
