Managed Health-Care Congress to Open

How the Internet and alternative medicine have affected the managed-care industry will be among the issues examined at a four-day industry conference beginning Sunday in Los Angeles. A discussion of trends in health-care economics will also be part of the National Managed Health Care Congress (NMHCC) annual fall gathering scheduled this year at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Other topics include how to improve outreach for preventive-care programs and how to spread malpractice liability among physicians, hospitals and managed-care organizations.
