The council approved Tuesday the closing of Taft Avenue, between Santiago Boulevard and Center Drive, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 18 so Villa Park High School faculty, students and parents can participate in a simulated alcohol-related traffic accident.
The traffic safety demonstration includes a simulated fatal traffic accident, followed by response from the police, Fire Department and paramedics, and includes participation of a local hospital, jail and court.
