Frank Lalli, a former senior executive editor at Time Inc., is the new editor in chief of George, the magazine founded by John F. Kennedy Jr., who was killed when his private plane crashed in July off Martha’s Vineyard. Lalli held a variety of editorial positions from 1982 to 1999 at Time Inc., including managing editor of Money magazine from 1989 to 1997. Hachette Filipacchi Magazines said George, which melds politics with celebrity, will scale back to 10 issues a year early next year and raise its rate base to 450,000 from 400,000.
