The city will officially ignite the Christmas season when it lights its tree Nov. 28.
Residents are invited to gather around the tree at the entrance of Crown Valley Community Park to listen to carolers, and sip and munch on complimentary cider and cookies.
Sources close to Santa Claus say he might even drop by the ceremony on his red fire engine. The tree lighting begins at 5 p.m. at Crown Valley Community Park, 29751 Crown Valley Parkway. Information: (949) 425-5100.
