A Latino marketing expo organized by Santa Barbara-based Hispanic Business Magazine continues from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the Hilton Burbank Airport & Convention Center, featuring the new generation of Latino market “dot-com” companies.
The theme of the Se Habla Espanol Hispanic Market & Media Expo, which opened Tuesday, is “Marketing in the Information Age: Four Ways to Achieve Success--Technology, Enterprise, Advertising and Marketing.” Among the speakers are Fernando Espuelas, chief executive of New York-based StarMedia, the first Latino-market portal to go public, and William Plasencia, vice president of Consejero.com, a Florida-based Spanish-language personal finance site. Other sponsors include Phoenix-based portal QuePasa.com.
The expo also features seminars on marketing to Latino consumers and advertising and entrepreneurial awards.
