FULLERTON
Today is the first Mayor’s Day at Commonwealth School. Mayor Jan M. Flory will visit the school for one hour at 10:30 a.m. Second- and third-grade students will ask Flory questions and present her with the key to the school.
The visit is aimed at students who are learning about the city of Fullerton as part of their curriculum, said Commonwealth principal Gaye Besler. Besler said it is important for students to meet their political leaders and that she hopes Mayor’s Day will become an annual event.
