Holiday Closings
Thursday is Veterans Day. The following schedules will be in effect:
* County, state and federal offices will be closed. City offices will also be closed, except in Brea, Garden Grove, Laguna Hills, Los Alamitos, Mission Viejo, San Clemente and Westminster.
* Federal, superior and municipal courthouses will be closed.
* City and county libraries will be closed.
* Banks and savings and loans will be closed.
* Schools: Public schools will be closed, except in Placentia, Yorba Linda, Cypress and Laguna Beach. Community colleges will be open, as will UC Irvine, Chapman University and Cal State Fullerton.
* Mail: There will be no mail delivery. All post offices will be closed, and mail deposited in mailboxes will be picked up according to the posted holiday schedule.
* Trash: Will be picked up on regular schedule.
* Buses: Orange County Transportation Authority buses will run on regular schedules.
* Metrolink: Trains will be running.
* Parks: City- and county-run parks and recreation facilities will be open during regular hours.
