SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
Discussions are continuing between the city and two developers who want to build hotels at El Camino Real across from Mission San Juan Capistrano and at Valle Road and La Novia Road.
Oliver, Tyrone and Pulver Inc. of Pennsylvania is negotiating to build a 120-room hotel and 80,000-square-foot office complex on 3.2 acres of land across from the mission.
Cameo Homes of Newport Beach is negotiating to build a 294-room resort hotel with three restaurants and a 45,000-square-foot conference center on Valle Road.
City officials said that the talks are preliminary and that both hotels are not expected to be built for several years.
