BREA
The Planning Commission tonight will consider closing off three downtown blocks, between Brea Boulevard and Orange Avenue, to allow the city to build commercial structures, townhouses, parking lots and a fire station there. The project is part of the city’s downtown redevelopment, and the city staff has recommended that the commission approve the request. The commission meets at 7 p.m. in City Council chambers, on the plaza level of the Civic & Cultural Center, 1 Civic Center Circle.
