Fountain Valley Wins 2 Relays at All-Star Meet

Fountain Valley High won the girls’ 200 and 400 freestyle relays in the first Southern California All-Star swim meet Saturday at Mission Viejo High. The meet featured some of the top seniors from the Southern, Central, Los Angeles and San Diego City sections.
The only double winners of the meet were Tommy Zaunder of Bakersfield, who won the boys’ 100 freestyle (47.89 seconds) and 50 freestyle (21.83) and Tiffany Wong from South Pasadena, who won the 200 individual medley (2 minutes 9.88 seconds) and 100 breaststroke (1:07.85).
Orange County boys’ winners included Capistrano Valley’s Matt Summers (200 freestyle), Mission Viejo’s Evan Ray (200 individual medley), Woodbridge’s Maziyar Ahmadi (100 butterfly), Fountain Valley’s Jeff Marecek (500 freestyle) and Brea Olinda’s Oliver White (100 backstroke).
Los Alamitos’ Feliz Gumusaneli won the girls’ 100 butterfly.
