New lodges are springing up in Yellowstone National Park.
The Old Faithful Snow Lodge, which opened 52 rooms in its first phase last summer, opened 48 more this weekend. Rooms are $121 per night.
On June 4, the $3.7-million Dunraven Lodge is scheduled to open in the park’s Grand Canyon area. Built with logs, rock trim and wood shingles, it has 44 rooms--five of them handicap-accessible at $105 per night.
With the completion of the Dunraven, Yellowstone will offer about 600 hotel rooms and 1,600 cabins, a spokesman said. To reserve lodging, call (307) 344-7311.
