The City Council recently approved a $3,025 contract change with Highlight Electric Inc., the Riverside-based company in charge of the Old Towne street lighting project. Instead of having the two existing 13-foot poles at Chapman Avenue and Center Street removed, as was originally proposed, officials have decided to relocate them to complement the lighting provided by four new steel poles. Outdated lighting systems throughout Old Towne will eventually be replaced through the project.
