A couple seeking to expand a small day-care facility in a planned community will appeal a denial of the project at tonight’s Planning Commission meeting. Don and Kaja Donikowski have operated a day-care center in Broadmore Park for more than three years and care for no more than six children, as required by law.
They have recently requested a permit to operate a “large family day-care home,” which would allow them to care for up to 14 children. The commission meets at 7 p.m. in City Council chambers, 300 E. Chapman Ave.
