The City Council last week adopted a weed abatement program for 1999. About 635 property owners will be notified of the abatement requirements this month.
Those who have objections to the program may attend the council’s public hearing May 25. Those whose properties are deemed public nuisances will be advised that they have 30 days to comply. In June, those properties not abiding by the program will be cleaned up by the city.
