Ocean lifeguard tryouts begin Saturday at 8 a.m. at Marine Safety Headquarters just north of the pier. Applicants younger than 18 must have a parent’s permission. Pay starts at $11.02 per hour. Applications are available at City Hall, 100 Avenida Presidio. Information: (949) 361-8294.
