Seminar Covers Basics for Financing College
A free workshop, “Save Tons of Time and Get Thousands of Dollars for Your Child’s College Education,†will be held Wednesday at the Van Nuys Library.
Workshop topics include financial aid, need-based scholarships, grants, low-interest loans and choosing a college with the best financial package.
“Tragically, a lot of kids raised in lower- to mid-income families grow up with a mind-set that they can’t afford college,†said Peter Hudson, the certified financial planner who conducts the monthly workshops throughout the city. “The truth is they can attend a rather expensive four-year college they never dreamed of.â€
Wednesday’s session will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the library, 6250 Sylmar Ave.
