Losses Narrow, Profits Grow at StarBase Corp.
StarBase Corp., Irvine provider of Internet and Intranet-based products, reported a fourth quarter net loss of $2.6 million, or 10 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $4.6 million, or 28 cents a share, a year ago.
Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 rose to $2.2 million from $778,000.
For the year, the company posted a net loss of $10 million, or 49 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $9.9 million, or 70 cents a share, for the prior year. Revenue rose to a record $6.8 million from $2.1 million.
William R. Stow III, chairman and chief executive of StarBase, said he expects the revenue and earnings trends to continue, allowing the company to post a profit in the current fiscal year.
