LAGUNA NIGUEL
The city last week purchased a vacant lot from the federal government for $900,000 to house the proposed Alicia Skate & Soccer Park, off Alicia Parkway between Aliso Creek Road and Pacific Park Drive. City staff has allotted more than $1.8 million in next year’s preliminary budget to develop the land. The project would include skateboarding facilities and a lighted soccer field and basketball courts. Final City Council approval of the project is expected this summer.
